Nancy Jane Spruill was born August 18, 1926 in Onancock, Virginia. She lived a farm life and weathered the Great Depression as a young child. At 19, she married Felix Young with whom she gave life to 10 beautiful children.

Later in life, Nancy immersed herself in the fine arts. A perpetual student, Nancy practiced depicting those she loved and things she found beautiful through expressions in paint, pencil, ink, print, and collage. Her points of view span the realistic to the abstract.

Nancy passed away October 6, 2021. She lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her legacy will continue through generations yet to come.
